Thank you to everyone that stayed with me so far in 2025.

Thankfully visitor numbers have picked up over the past couple of weeks and Kelpie is now almost full for the rest of August, with weekends unsurprisingly being far busier than the rest of the week. I do have some space left at weekends and for the Bank Holiday but that is filling up fast. Please do drop me an email if you are looking to stay.

The Castle Inn also hosts the Riptide music festival from Thursday 28th August which is a roaring success. I am very full for that weekend, but do have some limited space from Friday 29th.

 

Please note Kelpie is a relaxed Camping & Caravanning Club Certified Location, not a commercial site. Kelpie is looked after by one person who also has a very busy full-time job. So please bear with me as there will be times where there are simply not enough hours in any given day to be as responsive as I would like. Any email after 9pm is likely to be responded to mid/late morning the next day.

 

Closing is currently scheduled for Sunday 21st September as I have tickets for the ladies World Cup final on Saturday 27th.
 

Although Kelpie remains up for sale, I am happy to welcome both new and regular guests and hope to see many of you again before the site is sold. The site will remain open throughout any sales process as it will be sold as a going concern business. Even after sale, the site will remain.

After a home renovation has been completed, I am looking to make a room available on Airbnb, so that guests may continue to enjoy Kelpie and all that Manorbier have to offer during the colder months. The renovations are nearly complete, but it is unlikely to be open in 2025.

For those that stay regularly, thank you for your friendship over the years. It has been a real pleasure and you have made Kelpie such a joy to share with you all.
 

Situated approximately halfway between Tenby and Pembroke, Kelpie is a peaceful and relaxed Camping & Caravanning Club Certified Site which boasts beautiful views of the countryside.

Set in 3 acres on the edge of the beautiful village of Manorbier, it is part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, making this an ideal base for exploring the Pembrokeshire Coastal Footpath.

​I endeavour to make your time here as stress free as possible, but there are some things that are outside of my control:

​

• weak TV signal in places (A TV aerial is available to borrow during the main holiday season, but I can't guarantee a TV signal);

• Poor mobile phone coverage (unless you are on EE/3)

​

If you do need TV/mobile coverage, buying an EE dongle and turning it into a mobile hotspot does work.

​

The site is here for you, families, children and dogs to enjoy. There is plenty of space for family fun and it is always a delight to see people having fun, relaxing and enjoying the tranquillity.

​

There are also no restrictions for dogs on the local beach, making it perfect for a family holiday!

​
